Monterey Park Leaders Help Boys and Girls Club Open New Gym

On September 18, 2014, the West San Gabriel Valley Boys and Girls celebrated the grand opening of their new gym with a dedication ceremony.

The updated gym was made possible through a grant that helped with repairs and upgrades. These improvements help ensure the safety of the club members and make for an inviting space.

Community leaders and officers of the club including Monterey Park Hospital CEO Phil Cohen, Immediate Past Chair, and Ericka Smith, COO Treasurer, were on hand to help with the ribbon cutting and unveiling of the new gym. Phil is the Immediate Past Chair and Ericka is the Treasurer of the West San Gabriel Valley Boys and Girls Club.
