July 10, 2014 - Monterey Park Hospital is featured in an Independent Film

Monterey Park Hospital would like to congratulate the cast and crew of The Algerian for not only being accepted to the popular Downtown Film Festival of Los Angeles, but for also being chosen as the Opening Night film on July 9, 2014. Monterey Park Hospital was featured in this indepent film and we are happy to have been part of this fun and exciting project .

If that wasn't prestigious enough, one of our stars and producers, Mr. Harry Lennix, (Matrix 2, Superman- Man of Steel, State of Play) is also being honored by the festival with an "Independent Film Pioneer Award"! Congratulations Harry and to the entire "Algerian" team for another strong festival invitation and presence. On July 9, 2014, the festival hosted the West Coast / Los Angeles Premiere, wherein some Monterey Park Hospital personnell was invited to attend a very special one-of-a-kind screening.

We hope to share some footage of the film in the near future!
